1 John 2:3-6
3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.
6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
This is how we know that we know Jesus.
This is how we know we are a Christian.
This is also how we know other people are Christian.
Do they follow Jesus' example?
Are they promoting Jesus and His law of love?
Love God with all our hearts.
Love our neighbor.
Love our brethren.
Jesus taught us to be kind to people.
What we do for others, we do for our Lord Jesus.
Are we abiding in Jesus?
Do we focus on loving God and being kind to people?
Are we promoting Jesus?
And the people we listen to, our preachers, are they promoting Jesus?
Are they focused on helping others?
Or are they focused on getting wealth and material goods?
Be aware that the pursuit of personal wealth is not in line with following Jesus.
Do we see Jesus selling tickets and books and enjoying lavish living?
Did Jesus have mansions and etc.?
It is not hard to see what people are worshipping.
Be sure to follow Jesus and keep His commandments.
Promote the Lord, He is the answer for everything we need.
