Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Notice that this isn't a belief.
It is not a matter of faith.
The Bible says, "we know".
Paul knew this.
This is a fact.
We may not fully understand it, but it is still true.
If we love God, all things will work together for our good.
Does that mean I'll get everything I want?
No.
I will get what is good for me.
So, will everything be easier and more pleasant for me?
No.
It will be what is best for me.
Some lessons are hard.
Sometimes the best things in life are difficult.
But they can also be the best things for us.
The struggles build our faith and our patience and understanding and commiseration.
If we are moving in God's purpose, if we are doing His will, we will have troubles that will build us up.
"All things" "according to His purpose."
It's not for our pleasure, but we will enjoy the victories.
It's not our plan, but we will see the goodness of God in working His plan.
We must remember, the rewards for following the Lord are worth more than any material goods or wealth.
Both in this life, the joy of overcoming and helping others.
And in that eternal rest with God.
