Trials

James 1:2-3

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,

3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

Joy in trials is a difficult thing sometimes.

We need to look beyond ourselves and the pain we feel.

Look past the worry and the stress.

Instead, see the good, the hope on the other side.

When the tunnel is dark and seems endless.

Expect to see that spark of light at the end.

As hard as it sounds, be joyful, happy that we are experiencing the trials we face.

Because they teach us, they grow our faith.

And they build our patience, so that we know the answer does not always come in our time.

Sometimes the answer is no, not now, but later.

So, we build our faith and patience as we wait for God's timing.

Trusting in Him, knowing He will deliver what He has promised.

Our joy is not dictated by what we see or even what we experience.

Our joy is based on Christ and the promise of the cross.
