Elevating Our Love

This life is filled with demands and commitments, duties that we are required to fulfill. Our time seems less and less, we are busier than ever.

Yet, there is one guiding principal that we are to follow.

Matthew 10:37

He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

We must love Christ more than everything else.

And this means making Him our priority.

Elevating our love for Jesus, our appreciation for our Shepherd and King.

When we put the Lord first, it truly transforms our lives.

Then our life is filled with purpose and everything else aligns to the goal of being like Jesus.

This love for the Lord, leads to better relationships, as we learn to love our families and friends like the Father loves us.

This love of the Lord is at the heart of our faith.

It goes beyond human love, as we are not loving for selfish reasons, but are loving sacrificially, to be a benefit to others.

As we grow in this love, it permeates every part of our lives.

Loving Christ first puts us under His authority, because it means following His teachings and commandments to love.

The love of Jesus fuels our desire to serve others, to do good in His name, as His representative.

Giving our life a greater purpose than selfish ambition.

This also creates real joy in our lives.

The concept of loving the Lord first may seem difficult, but the rewards are worth it.

The satisfaction and peace of knowing we are following God's will.

Of knowing that we are being a blessing to others, like Jesus has been to us.

The beauty of nature reflecting God’s glory.
