Hebrews 10:14-22
14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,”
17 then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,
21 and having a High Priest over the house of God,
22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
By our One offering, Who is Jesus, we are perfected through Jesus.
We are still "being sanctified" in our lives as the Lord changes us and we draw closer to Him.
But Jesus gives us His righteousness and perfection, while we work through our imperfection and remove sin from our lives.
Through baptism into the death of Jesus, we receive the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit helps us to write God's laws into our hearts and minds so we can follow Jesus.
For us, this is a process we are working through, learning to be like Jesus.
But God removes our sins and remembers them no more because of our offering, Who is Jesus on the cross.
The perfect Lamb took our punishment for sin we committed.
The debt has been paid.
So, we can enter with boldness into prayer with God, He allows us into this Holy relationship with Him, because of Jesus.
We can draw near to our Heavenly Father, because of our High Priest, Jesus the Christ, the Messiah.
Jesus washes us clean with His blood.
Covering us in His righteousness.
So be comforted, be assured, know that God welcomes us into this relationship.
He wants us to know that we are safe with Him, even as we His judgment coming on the world.
We are already saved, by the blood of Jesus.
Verse 23 says "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful."
Our Lord is faithful, we can trust in Him.
