Deuteronomy 7:12-14
12 “Then it shall come to pass, because you listen to these judgments, and keep and do them, that the Lord your God will keep with you the covenant and the mercy which He swore to your fathers.
13 And He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flock, in the land of which He swore to your fathers to give you.
14 You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock.
Our nation, the United States of America, has lost these blessings from God.
We have turned from God, and we are under His judgment.
You can look back in the Old Testament and see what became of Israel when they turned away from God.
Those are the issues we have.
Other countries are taking over and overpowering our nation.
We have weak and corrupt leadership at all levels of government, regardless of the politics and party.
The people of the nation have lost interest in God.
They have fallen for the lies of other "gods".
The idols of man's knowledge and man's wisdom.
Look at verse 12.
This is the solution.
Listen to the Lord and His teachings, then do them, act upon them.
In the New Testament, the New Covenant, our commandments are to love God and love our neighbor.
We are to follow Jesus and His teachings.
Then we, as a nation, could begin again to have the blessings God promises in verses 13 and 14.
But we must love God and seek Him.
We need to listen to Jesus and His teachings.
If we want to save our country from more of God's judgment and wrath, then we must act.
As Christians it is our duty to set the example and proclaim the Lord.
So many people in our country are going to face judgment without Jesus.
We don't want that.
We want everyone to know Jesus.
To be baptized, to have their sins washed away.
And to have eternal life with our Lord and Savior.
It all begins with us, God's children.
We must obey our Father first and lead the way to His blessings.
